The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) is a five member Board appointed by the Town Board for terms of five years. The ZBA is an appellate board who can review any permit application denied by the Code Enforcement Officer. The ZBA typically considers applications related to special use permits, area & use variances, and interpretations. The ZBA may also be called upon by the Town Board or Planning Board to make recommendations with regard to issues before those Boards.

MEETINGS The ZBA meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Board Room of the Camillus Municipal Building. Meeting dates are subject to change as necessary; see the website calendar for the most up to date information. All ZBA meetings are open to the public.
The ZBA is legally required to advertise all public hearings in advance. These legal notices of public hearings can be found published in the Post-Standard newspaper, Syracuse.com, and on this page. The cutoff for applications to the Zoning Board of Appeals is ten days prior to the meeting. Any applications received after that deadline will not be considered until the following meeting. Once an application is accepted and verified to be complete, the ZBA will set a public hearing date to consider the request, typically at the following month's meeting.
