CatFISH (Camillus Area Transport Friends In Service Here) is a volunteer organization providing transportation to and from medical and dental appointments for ambulatory senior citizens who are unable to drive themselves or arrange for other transportation.  Call the CatFISH line at 315-701-5949 if you have any questions about whether your medical or dental appointment qualifies for this service.

The CatFISH service is available to Town of Camillus residents on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The number of volunteer drivers is limited and not all requests for rides may be able to be met, so please only use the CatFISH service if you have no other means of transportation.

To make a reservation, call the CatFISH line at 315-701-5949 Monday through Thursday only from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (the CatFISH line is not available during any other hours).  Those in need of transportation should call no later than the Thursday before the week of their appointments in order to allow time for the volunteer dispatchers to find available drivers.  If you need to cancel or reschedule your service, please call the CatFISH line as soon as possible.

When you call the CatFISH line, you will reach a dispatcher or a dispatcher’s voice mail.  If you reach voice mail, please make sure you speak clearly and leave your phone number for a return call.  If you have special needs, please inform the dispatcher of them when you call.

Volunteer drivers will call clients to confirm the time and locations for pick up and drop off as promptly as they can.  Volunteer drivers are equipped to provide transportation for ambulatory clients only and are not able to provide any medical care.  Clients are responsible for any parking fees and must bring their handicapped parking tag with them if needed.  All clients must sign a General Release the first time they use CatFISH.

CatFISH is a volunteer organization supported by your donations.  If you would like to donate to CatFISH, please send a check or money order (payable to CatFISH) to:
