Welcome to the Town of Camillus! Founded on March 8, 1799, the Town of Camillus is named after the Roman general Marcus Furius Camillus and is the only Town in the United States to bear that name. Home to the Erie Canal, historic railways, and political leadership, the Town of Camillus is rich in history!

The Town of Camillus occupies 35 square miles of land, which includes Fairmount, Amboy-Belle Isle, Warners, and the Village of Camillus and is currently home to 25,346 residents. We invite you to explore this website and learn about our local government and all our community has to offer!

2026 Town & County Tax Bills

Property tax bills are generated and mailed by Onondaga County Real Property Tax Services office. They stated all bills were mailed by January 2, but the Town of Camillus has received hundreds of phone calls from residents who have not yet received them.

If you have not received your bill from Onondaga County, you can find the information on their website: Onondaga County Tax Billing

The law states that property owners are responsible to pay their taxes on time whether they receive the memo bill from the County or not. If payment is not received or postmarked by February 2, penalty will apply.

A printed bill is NOT necessary to make payment, only the address is needed for your payment to be processed and provide you with a printed receipt.
