LOCAL STATE OF EMERGENCY OR PROCLAMATION DECLARATION
A State of Emergency is hereby declared in the Town of Camillus for a period of time beginning at 8:30 a.m. on the date of December 7, 2020 and ending at 11:59 p.m. on the date of December 8, 2020.
The State of Emergency has been declared due to emergency conditions produced by the COVID-19 virus and the recent surge in the rate of infection within Onondaga County as identified by the Governor of the State of New York.
Such conditions threaten or imperil the public safety of the citizens of the Town of Camillus. As Chief Executive of the Town of Camillus I, Mary Ann Coogan, Town Supervisor, have exercised the authority of Executive Law, Article 2-B, to preserve the public safety and hereby render all required and available assistance vital to the security, well-being and health of the citizens of the Community.
I hereby direct that the Town Board meeting scheduled for 7:00 p.m. December 8, 2020 shall be conducted in a modified open meeting manner as follows:
1. No more than 25 persons shall be present in the meeting room at any time. All persons entering the meeting room shall sign in and shall, when present in the room, socially distance and wear a facial mask at all times.
2. Persons who cannot enter because the meeting room has reached its limit of persons present may nevertheless personally appear and provide comment. To do so, individuals will provide a cell phone number and wait outside the building. When their opportunity to participate is imminent a staff member will contact them, at which point they will be temporarily allowed into the meeting room to speak and will need to exit upon completion of their statement.
